I really don’t remember the movie I was watching that elicited this strong piece. However,
This year, I urge you to choose the people that choose you.
I urge you to choose the people value you and what you have to offer, whether its in love, work, business or any kind of human interaction or relationship. Because there are people who would immensely appreciate all of you.
I urge you to choose people who know how to give to you, just as much as they know how to receive from you. It doesn’t have to be enormous things; but simply the assurance of knowing the genuineness of a person’s heart towards you and the earnestness with which they will reciprocate goodwill towards you.
I urge you to pour yourself into the right people with unrestrained force and watch them pour back.
And I need you to understand that it doesn’t matter if you bend over backwards, it’ll never be enough for some people. Give them a kidney or pluck out an eye for them, and they’ll ask you for the second without even a “thank you” for the first.
You can lie down for people to walk on you and they will still complain that you are not flat enough. Live your life.
